How a Buy link works

Offers store both the merchant URL and, when configured, an affiliate URL. Every Buy button points to an uglyHD /go route, which counts the outbound click and forwards the buyer to the affiliate URL or the plain merchant URL. Links can also be converted through an affiliate network when configured.

We use Sovrn Commerce (formerly VigLink) to rewrite some outbound merchant links into affiliate links. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no cost to you. This does not change the prices you pay or our rankings. Configured link conversion does not mean a programme is approved or that a purchase will earn commission.

Commission does not change rank

Affiliate status is not an input to offer selection or any table sort. For each product, the ranking query first prefers an in-stock offer and then the lowest item price plus shipping. The default index order divides that total by capacity and sorts by cost per TB. Buyers can choose other visible sorts, but none checks whether a source pays us.

Current programme status

This status is derived when the page renders from the same source registry used by the full source list. Direct affiliate tracking and possible network link conversion are shown separately; configuration does not confirm approval or earnings.

Indexed sources have an adapter that can supply prices. Availability depends on configuration and current offers; an adapter does not mean we have prices from that merchant today. Best Buy requires its API configuration before it can supply prices.
